Position: Support Partner for Domestic Violence Shelter
Join YW Calgary as a Women's Support Partner, where your role can create lasting change for women and children in crisis. This overnight position focuses on client-centered support and safety.

As part of the support team, you will work from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., providing essential assistance to residential clients facing domestic violence. You will utilize your skills in case management, safety planning, and crisis intervention to foster a safe environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and security within the shelter

• Answer crisis line calls and manage intake processes

• Conduct risk assessments and create safety plans

• Support residents with various personal needs

• Maintain cleanliness and monitor supply inventory

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or similar field

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices

• Experience in crisis management and domestic violence fields

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations

• Certifications in First Aid and CPR required within 6 months
