Empower students' mental wellness as a Youth Wellness Worker in Calgary, Alberta. This full-time role focuses on evidence-based programming and developing positive health skills within school communities.
The Youth Wellness Worker position supports students at Al-Amal Academy and Green Dome Islamic School, starting on August 24, 2026. Candidates will create and deliver programs aimed at enhancing mental health awareness, skill development, and fostering wellness. Collaboration with school staff is key, and flexibility is essential to meet participants' needs across various school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver evidence-based mental health programming
• Facilitate large and small group sessions in schools
• Foster positive mental health and wellbeing among students
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure supportive environments
• Adapt to varying work hours based on program needs
Requirements:
• Degree in social sciences or health-related field preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license required
• Reliable vehicle access for travel within the division
