Become a West Desk Supervisor at The Salvation Army's Centre of Hope. In this role, you will lead staff, manage operations, and support individuals experiencing homelessness.
The West Desk Supervisor supports the Shelter Manager and oversees daily operations to ensure alignment with The Salvation Army's mission. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing program goals while fostering relationships with relevant agencies. Key areas of focus include crisis intervention, case management, and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure effective staffing and staff training for the West Desk
• Develop and implement operational program plans
• Provide direct client services and support
• Prepare reports and necessary documentation for funders
• Lead crisis intervention initiatives in the shelter
Requirements:
• Two-year college diploma in social services or equivalent
• Minimum three years of experience in social work
• Knowledge of shelter systems and practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
