Take on a vital role as a Human Relations Agent focused on youth protection in a part-time, temporary engagement. Evaluate safety concerns while implementing legal measures and collaborating with health professionals.
In this position, you will be integral to youth development efforts in a northern environment. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating referral reports, and applying protective frameworks, all while working closely with community partners. You'll also provide psychosocial care and respond to emergency situations as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and assess reported youth situations
• Apply legislative and safety measures for children
• Create and manage assessment reports and plans
• Collaborate with partners for effective interventions
• Provide psychosocial care and conduct necessary travel
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Criminology, or related field
• Active membership in applicable professional orders required
• In-depth knowledge of child protection regulations
• Proficient in both French and English;
Inuktitut advantageous
• Valid driver's license for necessary travel across regions
