Enrichment & Behaviour Coordinator at CHS

You will focus on collaborative efforts to assess psychological welfare and implement scientifically-supported enrichment strategies. By training staff, volunteers, and foster caregivers, you ensure that shelter animals receive the proper behavioral support they need for a smoother transition to their new homes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive behavior management plans
• Lead training sessions for staff on safe handling practices
• Document and maintain precise behavior observation records
• Provide behavior assessments to guide management decisions
• Recommend effective post-adoption training resources
Requirements:
• Experience in animal care settings; preferred behavior-related accreditation
• Proficient understanding of animal behavior science
• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass criminal check
• Comfortable handling various species and lifting weights
