Team Lead – The James House Program

Permanent Full-Time, Internal/External

At McMan Calgary & Area, connection is at our core. Every year we make a meaningful difference in the lives of more than 5,000 children, youth, adults, and families by providing programs and services that support those with complex needs—including mental health challenges, addictions, homelessness, poverty, and disabilities. We believe in everyone’s deep and infinite worth, and no matter who you are, we will walk alongside you.

Through our work we rebuild, integrate, and strengthen connections—to self, peers, families, communities, support professionals, and the land—because people need people. Our sense of well‑being, identity, and belonging comes from relationships, and healing happens through these connections. Professional supports are there for a season or a reason, not a lifetime, because our goal is to empower individuals and families to thrive independently.

The Role

McMan has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Lead to support individuals who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused.

The Team Lead role encompasses two main areas. The Leadership component involves supporting the Supervisor with administrative and leadership tasks such as file audits, data management, preparing team meeting materials, managing gift card distribution, ensuring accuracy, and promptly reporting discrepancies.

The Building Management and Community component includes coordinating safe and sustainable housing options for James House residents as they prepare to transition after 12 months in the program. In addition to overseeing building operations—such as leases, rent collection, and maintenance—the Team Lead fosters a network of community housing resources to support individuals transitioning into the community. This holistic support system is grounded in a client‑focused, strength‑based approach and a commitment to Natural Supports and Trauma‑Informed practices.

This role will require agency on call support on a rotating basis once a year, and this position requires flexibility as there could be early evening work, as you could be supporting with viewings with community landlords for tenants.
