The James House Program
McMan Calgary & Area provides programs and services that support individuals with complex needs, including mental health challenges, addictions, homelessness, poverty, and disabilities.
THE ROLEThe Team Lead supports individuals who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused. The role encompasses two main areas:
Leadership support for the Supervisor and Building Management and Community coordination for James House residents.
Key responsibilities include supporting administrative and leadership tasks, managing building operations, coordinating housing options, and fostering a network of community resources.
This position requires agency on-call support on a rotating basis once a year and may involve early evening work when supporting viewings with community landlords.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage with community housing organizations and landlords.
- Develop partnerships with external stakeholders and service providers to strengthen supports for James House residents.
- Maintain positive relationships with the Home Space Housing liaison to report incidents, maintenance requests and engage neighbors.
- Deliver leases, notices to tenants, monthly unit checks, update rent roll, and handle maintenance requests.
- Conduct regular reviews of data input into program and agency databases.
- Enter financial data of Client Rent and Client Gift Cards monthly.
- Degree or diploma in Human Services.
- Three (3) years’ experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Valid driver’s license and adequate automobile insurance (2 million dollars third-party liability).
- Three years of driving experience with a Class 5 license.
- Current Police and Child Intervention checks (current within 6 months).
- Current standard First Aid Certification.
- Suicide Intervention Awareness Training.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience with HMIS data preferred.
- Strong writing, organizational, program planning and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Transitional Housing.
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the Homeless Serving System of Care.
- Experience and knowledge with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA).

Salary Range$60,301 – $67,939 annually
