As a Family Support Counsellor I, you will provide essential family support services, including in-home assistance, school liaison, and community coordination. You will work under the Program Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to health and safety standards. This role involves advocating for families and helping them develop beneficial resource networks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete assessments and establish focus areas with families
• Advocate for families, fostering resource networks
• Provide parent skills training and counselling support
• Intervene in crisis situations to ensure family safety
• Attend supervision, case reviews, and team meetings
Requirements:
• Degree in Human Sciences, Childcare, or related field
• 2-4 years' experience with children and families
• Preferred experience in family and in-home support
• Case Management experience is an asset
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and transportation
