As a Family Support Counsellor I / II, your role involves delivering tailored family support services, advocating for families, and facilitating resource development. This position requires collaboration with community professionals to enhance family self-advocacy while ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct program assessments and establish family goals
• Advocate for families by building resource networks
• Provide parent skills training and counselling
• Handle crisis interventions and follow-up care
• Attend supervision, case reviews, and team meetings
Requirements:
• Degree in Human Sciences or related field
• 2-4 years’ experience with children and families
• In-home support experience highly preferred
• Case management experience is an asset
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and personal transportation
