Position: Full-Time Overnight Outreach Worker

Alpha House is seeking a dedicated individual for an overnight outreach position. This permanent role requires a diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent, with experience in crisis counseling and case management for vulnerable populations. Your responsibilities will involve engaging with clients, responding to crises, and ensuring essential support across Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide empathetic support to clients facing addiction and mental health issues

• Conduct outreach sweeps and engage with individuals in hidden areas

• Advocate for clients, collaborating with partner agencies

• Respond to crises and maintain professionalism with stakeholders

• Facilitate educational sessions with community partners

Requirements:

• Diploma/degree in Social Sciences or related field

• 1 year of experience in case management or assessments

• Knowledge of mental health and harm reduction practices

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to obtain Class 4

• Physically capable of assisting clients in various conditions
