Compassionate Caseworker at Alpha House

Join Alpha House as a full-time PBSH Caseworker in Calgary and provide vital support to individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. This role emphasizes individualized care and team collaboration.

As a permanent full-time member, you will follow a 3-day-on, 3-day-off schedule from 7 am to 7 pm. Your responsibilities include helping clients achieve housing stability through an empathetic approach and effective crisis management. You will be integral in promoting housing-first strategies while addressing clients' complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively within a case management model

• Promote harm reduction and housing-first strategies

• Provide emotional support and crisis management

• Advocate for clients’ unique needs and challenges

• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards

Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in Human Services or related field

• Experience with populations facing homelessness

• Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Search and valid driver license
