Compassionate Overnight Relief Worker

Make a difference as an Overnight Relief Worker with Alpha House. This position demands commitment to overnight shifts while offering care and shelter to vulnerable individuals in need.

Your role involves monitoring their well-being, addressing crises, and ensuring compassionate interaction. This position is perfect for those with understanding of harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage admissions and discharges for clients under influence

• Monitor clients for safety and health conditions

• Utilize de-escalation techniques in crisis situations

• Offer connection to treatment and community support resources

• Treat clients with respect and non-judgment

Requirements:

• 2-year social sciences degree or in progress

• Capability to lift items up to 35 lbs

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Search certification

• Certifications in FOIP and Patient Lift training

• Previous experience with addiction services is an asset
