Case Manager – James House (Monday – Friday 9:00‑5:00 / 12:00‑8:00)

McMan Calgary & Area is seeking a permanent Case Manager to provide a housing‑first and recovery‑oriented system approach. The role involves assisting residents in maintaining housing, accessing financial supports, and supporting education/employment goals to facilitate independent transitions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Educate and support individuals to increase skills that promote greater self‑efficacy.
  • Utilize a Natural Supports approach to enhance clients' support networks and long‑term outcomes.
  • Provide individual instruction, modeling, and support of basic life skills (health, nutrition, home cleanliness, safety).
  • Monitor and support individuals through a recovery‑oriented system approach to ensure living conditions are safe and sanitary.
  • Implement integrated service delivery from referral to program completion and community transition.
  • Complete case management responsibilities including assessments, goal planning, case consultation, monitoring, and evaluation of goals to meet clients' needs.
  • Work on a rotating schedule Monday – Friday 9am‑5pm & 12pm‑8pm with one year on‑call support per rotation.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Human Services.
  • Three (3) years’ experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong writing, organizational, program planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Rapid Rehousing.
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the Homeless System of Care.
  • Experience with HMIS data preferred.
  • Current standard First Aid Certification and Suicide Intervention Training.
  • Valid driver's licence and adequate insurance coverage ($2 million third‑party liability).
  • Child Welfare Intervention Check and Police Check (current within 6 months).
