Take on the role of a Job Coach with Otipemisiwak Métis Government in Calgary, AB. Your mission: empower clients in their job search through personalized action plans and career development programs.

This one-year contract position is ideal for professionals with a background in career development and community support. You'll assess clients’ skills and offer tailored advice, helping them navigate the job market effectively. Collaborate with employers and community organizations to create a supportive network while enhancing clients’ employment prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish strong relationships with clients and assess job readiness

• Conduct occupational research to identify career goals

• Prepare clients for interviews and develop resume workshops

• Collaborate with employers on job skills requirements

• Monitor client progress and employment outcomes

Requirements:

• Certificate or diploma in Career Development or related fields

• At least 3 years of experience in employment services

• Knowledge of Métis culture and socio-economic challenges

• Strong facilitation and counseling skills

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
