Position: Outreach Worker for Special Initiatives
Join Alpha House's Special Initiatives team as an Outreach Worker. Help vulnerable individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges with this essential on-site, full-time role.

This three-month term position offers flexible shifts, 7pm-7am or 7am-7pm. Ideal candidates will boast strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of community resources, ensuring effective outreach. The role involves direct engagement with clients and collaboration with community partners, emphasizing non-judgmental support and crisis management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage and support clients in encampments

• Conduct housing assessments and client-centered services

• Collaborate with community agencies on client advocacy

• Transport clients using agency vehicles when needed

• Maintain professional conduct while representing Alpha House

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social or Health Sciences

• At least 1 year of relevant case management experience

• Understanding of harm reduction and mental health

• Must hold a Class 5 driver’s license

• Ability to complete required training and medical assessments
