Inclusive Career Consultant

Join Calgary Alternative Support Services as a Career Consultant, dedicated to empowering marginalized individuals. This full-time role focuses on supporting clients in their career development journeys toward fulfilling employment.

In this position based in Calgary, you will work Monday through Friday assisting clients with disabilities in goal setting, resume building, and job searches. Collaboration with the CAES Diversity and Engagement Consultant will enhance the workplace’s inclusivity, providing a rich environment for client success and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide clients in recognizing strengths and career options

• Support clients with effective goal-setting practices

• Foster employer relationships to support inclusion

• Advocate for understanding of rights in the workplace

• Coordinate with colleagues to facilitate positive outcomes

Requirements:

• Education in Human Services or comparable experience

• Proven experience in disability advocacy and community engagement

• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills

• A personal vehicle and driver's license are advantageous

• Ability to support a diverse caseload effectively
