Calgary Recreation Assistant

Position: Calgary Recreation Assistant at Optima Living
Support resident wellness at Optima Living in Calgary as a Recreation Assistant by facilitating tailored recreational activities that optimize social and emotional engagement.

Your role will emphasize person-centered care.

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, you will help design engaging programs that reflect the unique needs of residents while documenting their progress. Key duties will involve coordinating initiatives, maintaining recreation equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement creative and engaging recreational activities

• Monitor and report on resident progress

• Maintain documentation and provide updates to the manager

• Assist with event planning and coordination

• Ensure safety and cleanliness of recreational spaces

Requirements:

• At least one year in recreation programming

• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications

• Strong collaborative skills with interdisciplinary teams

• Ability to problem-solve effectively

• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed
