Help improve the lives of vulnerable youth at Restore Child and Youth Care in Alberta. This Youth Support Worker role is dedicated to guidance, supervision, and skill development.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing essential support to youth in care, reporting to the Program Coordinator. Utilizing a trauma-informed methodology, you will help nurture emotional stability and encourage independence among children and youth. Candidates should have relevant education or experience and an understanding of mental health and cultural issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and supervise children and youth effectively
• Document care accurately with case notes
• Maintain cleanliness and assist with meals
• Encourage healthy behavior and lifestyles
• Help develop independent living skills
Requirements:
• Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Skills in crisis management and communication
• Experience with marginalized communities
• Successful completion of CPIC and CWIS checks
