Community Service Worker

Support community participants as a Social and Community Service Worker with The Mustard Seed in Calgary. Engage guests, provide resources, and foster positive relationships in a welcoming environment.

This part-time position aims to enhance the lives of community members by facilitating access to essential services and programs. You'll assist with various Community Impact Centre initiatives and play a key role in ensuring a safe and inviting atmosphere. Your contributions will promote hope, health, and transformation among vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and conduct program evaluations

• Foster meaningful relationships with community members

• Collaborate to support lifestyle and behavior changes

• Promote services and encourage program participation

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in related field is an asset

• Experience with vulnerable clientele preferred

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

• Empathy for issues related to poverty and justice

• Interest in recreational activities a plus
