Part Time Outreach Support Worker

Engage with Calgary's vulnerable community as a Part Time Outreach Support Worker with The Salvation Army. Provide essential case management, crisis intervention, and advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness.

This relief position focuses on creating supportive relationships with marginalized populations in Calgary. You'll be involved in client support, outreach, and collaboration with various agencies to foster trust and ensure access to resources.

Your role includes critical reporting, community engagement, and participation in program evaluations to enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop trust through frequent outreach visits and support

• Provide emergency assistance and conflict resolution

• Collaborate with community agencies to address client needs

• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions

• Assist in program setup, evaluation, and quality improvement

Requirements:

• High school diploma; social services diploma preferred

• 2+ years of related experience in social services

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Police Information Check

• Skilled in crisis intervention and emotional care

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
