Become a vital part of Trellis Society as a full-time Indigenous Youth Program Facilitator. Lead engaging programs focused on cultural awareness, self-esteem, and community engagement.
This role requires 37.5 hours per week with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. You will work collaboratively with Indigenous Initiatives staff, plan creative activities, and ensure youth well-being utilizing the Circle of Courage framework. Your primary mission is to foster a safe, supportive environment that emphasizes identity and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement creative youth programs
• Ensure safety and well-being of participants
• Collaborate on cultural awareness initiatives
• Supervise volunteers and practicum students
• Maintain program statistics and reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in social services
• 3-5 years related experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural protocols
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License required
Foster a meaningful connection with Indigenous youth through engaging programming and community collaboration.
