The City of Calgary seeks a passionate Child and Youth Care Counsellor. In this role, you’ll work closely with youth experiencing mental health barriers, homelessness, and food insecurity. You'll play a vital role in providing support and resources to help them navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize lived experiences to support youth with mental health issues
• Provide guidance and assistance in a supportive housing setting
• Engage with residents to develop coping strategies
• Foster a welcoming and safe environment for youth
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery
Requirements:
• Experience in supportive housing or social work environments
• Understanding of youth mental health and social issues
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to public service and community well-being
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
