Part Time Youth Worker at CBFY

Support newcomer youth and families in Calgary as a Part Time Youth Worker with the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth. Contribute to their integration and educational journeys through direct support and community engagement.

This contract role requires 20 hours per week of dedicated service, focusing on helping youth and families during their settlement processes. You will work alongside school teams and community partners, utilizing a strengths-based approach to foster connections and navigate available resources effectively. Your impact will be seen through developing tailored support plans and community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create connections in supported school communities

• Provide individualized support to newcomer youth

• Collaborate on youth settlement plans and referrals

• Develop and deliver educational and recreational sessions

• Participate in summer programs and camps

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related fields

• Experience with immigrant and youth populations

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Reliable transportation and multiple languages are assets
