Compassionate Career Advisor Position

Become a Career Advisor with Work It Forward in Calgary and make a difference in individuals’ lives. This full-time opportunity focuses on empowering clients with disabilities and complex barriers through expert coaching and support.

As a Career Advisor, you'll work within our Employment Services team to provide crucial guidance during all phases of our program. Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, you will employ a strengths-based approach to help clients identify their career goals and create actionable plans to achieve them.

Your role is vital in ensuring access and ongoing client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake orientations and needs assessments

• Monitor and support clients in work activities

• Facilitate workshops on self-regulation and communication

• Assist with onboarding during employment placements

• Maintain accurate client records for program reporting

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social Work or related fields

• Minimum 2 years in employment or disability services

• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices

• Experience supporting those with cognitive barriers

• Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills
