Social Worker - Community Impact Centre

Enhance community engagement as a part-time Social and Community Service Worker at The Mustard Seed in Calgary. Catalyze change by promoting programs and supporting guests with essential services.

In this role, you'll work during the summer to assist participants in navigating vital community services at the Calgary Community Impact Centre. You will promote positive interactions and help foster a healthy, safe environment through supportive practices and crisis management as needed. Your work will contribute to the culture of hope and transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist community members with service access

• Conduct intakes and support program evaluations

• Collaborate on lifestyle changes through daily interactions

• Promote guest participation in available programs

• Maintain tidiness and safety in the work area

Requirements:

• Experience in social service or related field

• Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends

• Understanding of poverty and justice issues
