Community Support Worker

Make a meaningful impact as a Community Support Worker with Calgary Alternative Support Services. Support marginalized populations while fostering their independence in a community-based day program.

This temporary full-time role, scheduled from Mondays to Fridays in NE Calgary, is pivotal in empowering clients within the Calgary Alternative Day Options program. You will assist individuals in setting and achieving their goals while providing emotional support and guidance for daily living skills. Your efforts contribute to a more inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish professional boundaries and build client relationships

• Assist clients in goal development and monitoring their progress

• Support individuals in daily living skills and community inclusion

• Engage with client guardians and other essential supports

• Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Post secondary education in Human Services

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Knowledge of supporting adults with disabilities preferred

• Vehicle required for job duties
