Position: Home Visitor for Indigenous Families
Provide vital emotional and cultural support as a Home Visitor in the Siim ohksin Whahkotiwin program. Assist Indigenous families with essential skills from parenting to budgeting.

In this role, you'll work with families who seek guidance from the Family Resource Network. Supporting children aged 0-6, your focus will be on emotional and practical assistance tailored to their unique needs. A thorough understanding of Indigenous culture and flexible working hours are essential for achieving positive family goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and support families' emotional needs

• Provide in-home assistance with essential life skills

• Connect families with Elders and Knowledge keepers

• Monitor and redesign family goal plans collaboratively

• Deliver culturally informed parenting resources

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in a related field

• Experience with vulnerable children and families

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and contemporary issues

• First Aid/CPR Level C or higher

• Valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license and insured vehicle
