Counselor Violence

Position: Counselor for Family Violence Support
Join the mission of The Brenda Strafford Foundation as a Family Counselor, focused on providing critical support to women and children impacted by family violence. This position emphasizes trauma-informed care within a safe environment.

In this impactful role, you will deliver therapeutic services, manage case documentation, and facilitate group programs that address participant needs. Your responsibility extends to collaborating with the Community Services Team to ensure all participants receive holistic support and appropriate referrals. By engaging empathetically, you will help families transition to healthier living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions

• Manage case files and maintain accurate records

• Conduct assessments and develop service plans

• Facilitate discharge plans and community support systems

• Support case managers and enhance participant engagement

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline

• Minimum four years of experience with children and youth

• Non-violent crisis intervention and CPR certifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Valid driver’s license with clear abstract
