Position: Full-Time Social Worker
Join Bethany Care Society as a dedicated Social Worker in Calgary, Alberta. This full-time, temporary position is vital in promoting resident-centered care and ensuring dignified support for individuals in need.

As a Social Worker, your primary focus will be to assess and address the psychosocial needs of residents and families. With a minimum of two years of gerontology experience, you will implement tailored interventions, provide community resource information, and educate team members to create effective care plans.

Your role is essential in fostering a supportive environment within the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess residents’ psychosocial functioning to inform care

• Provide case consultations and guidance for the care team

• Lead resident and family care conferences

• Document assessments accurately in healthcare records

• Ensure advocacy for financial assistance through community resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

• Recent experience within the gerontological field

• Registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
