Resident Support Worker at Men's Shelter

In this critical position, you will work 16 hours per week and provide essential support to homeless men by fostering a safe and encouraging atmosphere. Key responsibilities include managing admissions, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and working closely with internal and external partners to enhance the residents' experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle admission processes and set basic goals for residents
• Liaise with internal and external agencies for resident support
• Maintain medication and residents' records per policy
• Facilitate communication logs and incident reporting
• Assist with daily operational tasks and program documentation
Requirements:
• High school diploma with relevant training
• Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification
• A minimum of 3 months of frontline social service experience
• Excellent observation and crisis management capabilities
Utilize your skills in a supportive setting, helping residents navigate their journey back to independence.
