Calgary Outreach Social Worker Position

Support Calgary's vulnerable populations as a Community Outreach Social Worker with The Mustard Seed. This full-time position integrates clinical skills into outreach services for individuals at risk of homelessness needing mental health support.

Reporting to the Community Outreach Supervisor, you'll provide assessments, referrals, and counselling to clients while working closely with a multidisciplinary team. You will conduct training sessions for staff and deliver community presentations, equipping organizations with the tools to assist clients with substance use disorders. Your efforts are vital in fostering effective relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual case consultations and assessments

• Provide direct care for clients with substance use disorders

• Engage in group interventions using therapeutic methodologies

• Collaborate with various agencies for client support

• Document all client interactions in relevant systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, ACSW registration preferred

• Minimum two years’ mental health experience

• Experience with homeless populations an advantage

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and available vehicle
