In this role, you will manage the Indigenous Youth Mentorship Project by coordinating activities and mentoring relationships. The position emphasizes culturally relevant mentorship and includes planning group sessions tailored to the needs of youth involved with the justice system. Your leadership will play a crucial role in fostering respect and support among participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate monthly and weekly program sessions
• Facilitate mentor-youth matching and ongoing relationships
• Engage with youth through regular assessments and check-ins
• Maintain accurate case notes and track youth progress
• Collaborate with Elders for cultural integration in programming
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field
• At least one year in mentorship coordination and facilitation
• Experience in Indigenous community engagement
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Updated Criminal Record and Child Intervention Checks
