In this vital role, you will work with individuals facing challenges like addictions, homelessness, and social complexities. The Peer Support Worker will engage clients through collaborative efforts, providing immediate assistance, and helping them navigate critical social services.

Your role will incorporate de-escalation techniques during crises and focus on fostering culturally safe environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with housing and social integration needs

• Support crisis situations through effective communication

• Engage in empathetic conversations to understand client needs

• Conduct precision data documentation and reporting

• Drive an Alex vehicle to facilitate client appointments

Requirements:

• Experience in peer support with a focus on health issues

• Training in mental health first aid or crisis intervention is an asset

• Class 5 driver's license for transportation needs

• Understanding of community resources for support

• Commitment to principles of equity and inclusion
