Community Support at CASS

Position: Community Support Role at CASS
Join Calgary Alternative Support Services as a Community Support Worker. This part-time role allows you to engage with clients and promote independence every Tuesday and Thursday.

As a Community Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the Calgary Alternative Day Options program. Your responsibilities include guiding clients in daily living skills and helping them set and achieve objectives outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISP). You will nurture community inclusion and wellbeing through positive relationships and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop professional boundaries with clients for effective support

• Monitor and assist clients’ goals set in Individual Support Plans

• Support independent living and health-related management

• Foster relationships with client guardians and supports

• Complete documentation of client progress and incidents

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Human Services

• Valid Basic First Aid certification with CPR/AED

• Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sectors search

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Reliability in taking transit to work
