Join Closer to Home Community Services as a full-time Youth Care Specialist, dedicated to supporting youth in a community group home in Alberta. Bring your strong commitment to compassionate care to support youth with mental health and behavioral challenges.
In this permanent role, you'll implement the Teaching Family Model while working alongside a skilled team to assist youth in daily life. You'll focus on skill development, crisis management, and collaborative treatment planning. Your open availability for a 4-on, 4-off shift rotation will enable you to provide essential around-the-clock support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist youth in all daily living activities
• Foster a structured environment for skill development
• Collaborate with the treatment team on care strategies
• Supervise youth and manage crisis intervention
• Drive for errands and youth transportation
Requirements:
• Background in working with complex behavioral needs
• Diploma or degree in relevant field
• Strong organizational and crisis management skills
• Open availability for a flexible shift schedule
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required
