This role supports our Wellington and Manhattan Place community care group homes for youth aged 8-17. You will promote trauma-informed care and a youth development approach to address the complex needs of young individuals. Collaborate with program staff to create a safe, structured, and supportive living environment that fosters relationships and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Uphold trauma-informed principles for youth care
• Recognize and respond sensitively to trauma-related behaviors
• Assist youth in life skills and community resource access
• Organize daily needs, appointments, and household duties
• Facilitate recreational, educational, and vocational activities
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Human Services
• Relevant experience in youth work or community leadership
• Knowledge of Indigenous practices and histories
• Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
• Current First Aid and Suicide Intervention Certification
Support youth development by modeling skills and fostering connections in this vital role.
