Summer Camp Volunteer

will create a safe, organized, and positive camp environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and skill development while accommodating behavioral challenges.

Program Details
  • Duration:
    July 15
    - August 21 2026
  • Schedule:

    Monday - Saturday, 8:30 AM - 4:40 PM
  • Setting:
    Clinic and community-based in Calgary
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate diverse daily activities, creating an engaging and supportive atmosphere
  • Aid in picking activities, motivating team participation and imaginative thinking.
  • Proactively encourage positive behavior and teamwork, addressing behavioral challenges as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity environment at all times.
  • Assist participants with daily living activities, including helping with meals and personal care needs.
  • Provide professional, positive, and respectful communication updates regarding behavior to caregivers.
Qualifications
  • Current university students pursuing careers in Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Behaviour Analysis, Education, Early Childhood Development, or Psychology.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Experience in program coordination, recreational centre or community-based work is an asset.
  • Experience working with a group of children with diverse needs is an asset.
