Part-Time Family Navigator Role at YWCA

Join YWCA Calgary as a Family Supports Navigator, dedicating your skills to help children, youth, and families find vital community resources. Focus on assessing needs and providing individualized guidance.

Reporting to the FRN Supervisor, this part-time position requires flexibility and the ability to travel across Calgary for family meetings. You will guide families in navigating services, including assessments and referrals, to ensure they receive appropriate help. Your proactive advocacy will bolster the effectiveness of local support systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond timely to family inquiries and needs

• Conduct needs assessments to identify barriers

• Create personalized service plans for ongoing navigation

• Facilitate referrals to services and resources

• Monitor outcomes and assist families in service transitions

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social Work or a related field

• Two years of relevant experience supporting families

• Familiarity with family support services and resources

• Experience with accurate documentation

• Knowledge of strength-based, culturally responsive practices
