Caregiver Wellness Facilitator

Become a pivotal Caregiver Wellness Facilitator at Miskanawah in Calgary. This full-time role focuses on providing intensive support for caregivers of children facing complex challenges.

In this compassionate position, you will utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to empower caregivers and enhance their parenting confidence. You will work closely with caregivers to help them connect with community resources and culture, reducing social isolation and fostering well-being. The role involves both collaborative planning and individualized service strategies to support nurturing family environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide relationship-based case management to caregivers in distress

• Conduct comprehensive intakes, assessments, and goal settings

• Help improve caregivers' emotional well-being and coping skills

• Foster connections to cultural and community resources

• Collaborate with Elders and community partners on cultural matters

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field

• Minimum three years of caregiver support experience

• Experience with Indigenous communities is preferred

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required

• Commitment to continuous cultural learning
