Term Family Support Worker Role

Become a Family Support Worker with Renfrew Educational Services for the upcoming school year. Deliver essential social work services and support families in the Calgary area.

This full-time term position runs throughout the family leave at Stoney Nations and Stoney Big Horn. Engage in assessments, case management, and conduct workshops that connect families socially. You will serve within a supportive interdisciplinary team, advocating for clients' needs and coordinating community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and respond to family referrals effectively

• Facilitate educational workshops for families and staff

• Conduct home visits and phone consultations

• Ensure proper documentation for services provided

• Coordinate resources with external community organizations

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

• Valid registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers

• Knowledge of social work ethics and practices

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Reliable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage
