Overnight Relief Worker

Position: Overnight Relief Worker at Alpha House
Make a difference as an Overnight Relief Worker with Alpha House. This role focuses on providing care and support for individuals in shelter and detox services during overnight shifts.

As a Relief Worker, you'll engage directly with vulnerable populations, ensuring their needs are assessed and addressed effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring client safety, responding to crises, and promoting a respectful environment. You will work in a fast-paced setting, gaining experience that could lead to additional roles within the organization after 90 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete admissions and discharges for clients

• Monitor client safety and address withdrawal symptoms

• Respond to crisis situations with a focus on de-escalation

• Provide compassionate support to clients and connect with resources

• Maintain professionalism while interacting with individuals

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-year degree in social sciences or in progress

• Physical ability to assist clients and lift 35 lbs

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Search certificate

• Certifications in patient lifting training preferred

• Experience with addictions or homelessness is an asset
