If you’re looking to make a difference, make it with McMan ... be the connection that changes everything!
At McMan Calgary & Area, connection is at our core. Every year, we make a meaningful difference in the lives of more than 5,000 children, youth, adults, and families by providing programs and services that support those with complex needs—including mental health challenges, addictions, homelessness, poverty, and disabilities. We believe in everyone’s deep and infinite worth, and no matter who you are, we will walk alongside you.
Through our work, we rebuild, integrate, and strengthen connections-to self, peers, families, communities, support professionals, and the land- because people need people. Our sense of well-being, identity, and belonging comes from relationships, and healing happens through these connections. Professional supports are there for a season or a reason-not a lifetime- because our goal is to empower individuals and families to thrive independently.
McMan is recruiting for a Recovery Navigator to join our team in providing barrier‑free services and an inclusive space for individuals experiencing mental health and addiction challenges. The Recovery Navigator leads the coordination and day-to-day operations of the Recovery Hub, ensuring seamless delivery of recovery-oriented services through participant intake, individualized recovery planning, DBT-informed group facilitation, workshop and program coordination, community partnership development, resource navigation, and collaboration with the University of Calgary on research, evaluation, and data collection.
The Navigator plays a central role in supporting individuals by assessing needs, coordinating linkages to external services, and navigating access to detox, treatment, housing, employment, cultural healing, and health supports.
The Navigator also collaborates closely with organizations delivering specialized addiction programming, connects with community-based/peer-led recovery programs, and supports workshops on grief and loss, relapse prevention, and wellness. In partnership with the Clinician, the Navigator co-facilitates DBT Skills informed groups aligned with the DBT Skills Training Manual.
