In this part-time role, you will assist individuals contacting 211 by phone, text, or chat with resources for social, health, and government services. Your background in Human Services, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills, will help you navigate diverse client needs efficiently. You will be part of a supportive workplace focused on your growth and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess needs through phone, text, and chat interactions
• Provide accurate information and referrals using the Community Resource Database
• Offer follow-up support to evaluate referral success
• Report database errors and submit updates
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Human Services or equivalent experience
• Certification in Naloxone Administration and First Aid/CPR
• Experience in crisis intervention, mental health, or case management
• Strong ability to work with diverse populations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
Leverage your communication skills and community resource knowledge to make a meaningful impact at the Distress Centre.
