Full-Time METI-S Advisor

The Otipemisiwak Métis Government seeks METI-S Advisors in Calgary. Focus on supporting Métis clients to achieve their employment goals with tailored guidance and resource management through a full-time contract.

This role involves assessing client needs and delivering case management for sustainable employment. You will conduct employment assessments, advise on Métis-specific support programs, and assist clients in overcoming barriers. Candidates with cultural sensitivity and a strong communication background will excel in facilitating successful career transitions for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct employment assessments and manage intervention cases

• Support clients in job searches and career planning

• Guide clients in understanding funding and eligibility

• Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes

• Participate in community outreach and presentations

Requirements:

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in a related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of Métis culture and employment barriers

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Reliable transportation and clear police check
