Calgary Social Worker

Position: Calgary Social Worker | Extendicare

Extendicare is seeking a qualified Social Worker to provide comprehensive services within our long-term care home. This role involves working with interdisciplinary teams, conducting assessments, and delivering therapeutic support. Your expertise in mental health and senior care will greatly benefit our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in admission and discharge processes

• Advocate for resident rights and effective care

• Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling

• Maintain accurate documentation of services

• Coordinate with healthcare partners for effective care

Requirements:

• Mandatory degree in Social Work

• Registration with Alberta College of Social Workers

• Preferred experience in long-term care

• Strong skills in assessment and crisis intervention

• Familiarity with RAI-MDS and Point Click Care  software preferred
