Community-Focused Family Specialist Position

As a Family Specialist within the Family Matters program, you will provide essential assistance and support to families experiencing difficulties. Your work will involve direct intervention, focusing on enhancing problem-solving, parenting, and budgeting abilities. Most services will be rendered within Calgary and Airdrie, with occasional travel to surrounding areas such as Beiseker and Crossfield, along with an on-call commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-home support to families facing crises

• Conduct regular family visits for guidance

• Assist with budgeting and child development

• Document family progress and maintain records

• Collaborate with other community service providers

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in social work or related field

• Clean 3-year driving record required

• Available for evening/weekend shifts

• First Aid/CPR certification necessary

• Police clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search required
