As a permanent full-time Child and Youth Worker, you'll work within a team using the Teaching Family Model.
Your role includes assisting with routines, managing crises, fostering skill growth, and ensuring safety. Ideal candidates will have experience with vulnerable populations and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist children and youth with daily activities and routines
• Implement skill development strategies and manage crises
• Focus on family, academic support, and community inclusion
• Facilitate mental and emotional well-being for youth
• Document critical incidents and attend regular meetings
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in a related field preferred
• Previous experience with vulnerable children and families
• Ability to drive, maintain insurance, and complete background checks
• Strong communication skills and crisis management abilities
• Compassionate and organized with a relational approach
