The Alex offers an opportunity for a Social Worker to engage with individuals facing homelessness and substance use challenges. This role is grounded in harm reduction and trauma-informed practices, requiring two years of experience in similar environments. Collaborate with Peer Support Workers and various interdisciplinary teams to enhance holistic support for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide flexible outreach for mental health and addiction concerns

• Teach harm reduction techniques and distribute safe supplies

• Assist clients with housing and employment needs

• Facilitate group programming and documentation

• Represent The Alex professionally in the community

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Social Work and ACSW registration

• Minimum two years' experience with vulnerable populations

• Strong knowledge of mental health and addiction resources

• Valid First Aid and Class 5 driver's license

• Satisfactory criminal record check required
