As a Family Support Counsellor, you will work closely with families, providing essential counseling and advocacy to ensure their needs are met.
Your role will encompass skills training for parents, crisis intervention, and building supportive networks. Engagement in clinical discussions and supervision will aid in delivering superior family services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and define family goals
• Advocate for family resources and professional support
• Teach parents essential skills for family management
• Manage crisis situations with direct intervention
• Participate in team meetings and case reviews
Requirements:
• Degree in Human Sciences, Childcare, or similar
• 2-4 years of relevant experience with children and families
• Preferred experience in home support and case management
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with transportation
• Personal suitability in family interventions
