This crucial role requires availability for at least three shifts per month, including overnight hours. You'll focus on assessing clients' needs and managing crises, offering compassionate, non-judgmental support in a fast-paced environment. Bring your expertise in crisis management and community resources to make a meaningful impact on clients’ lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete admissions and discharges for clients using substances
• Monitor client safety and withdrawal symptoms
• Respond to crisis situations with de-escalation techniques
• Interact compassionately with clients seeking support
• Provide information about treatment options and resources
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year degree in social sciences (or in progress)
• Ability to assist clients and lift items up to 35 lbs
• Obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Search
• Certifications like FOIP and Patient Lift training
• Experience with addictions or homelessness is an asset
